Whether we earn anything from a link
Last updated: 14 September 2026
In short
Today, no. Nothing on this site earns a commission. The links in the articles go to charities, health services, universities, published research and, now and then, to other people writing about the same thing. We are not paid by any of them and we were not asked to link to them.
Why this page exists before there is anything to disclose
It is easier to decide how you will behave before there is money involved than afterwards. Writing it down now means the rules are not set by whatever the first offer happens to look like.
What will be true if that changes
If an article ever carries a link that earns us something, three things will be true of it, and you should hold us to them:
- You will be told at the link, not here. The words next to it will say so plainly, before you click, in the same size type as everything around it. Finding out afterwards, or having to come to this page to find out at all, is not good enough and it is not what the rules ask for either.
- It will never change which passage you are given. The passages come from reviewed records and nothing anybody pays for can put a verse in front of you or take one away. That is the one line that does not move.
- It will never cost you more. A commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not off your price.
Things we will not do
- Recommend something we have not used or would not use.
- Put a paid link on the crisis page, or anywhere near it.
- Take money to say a passage means something.
- Write an article because a product exists rather than because a person needed it.
The shop is a different thing
Bible Nudge sells a few of its own items. That is us selling something we made, not us being paid to point at somebody else’s, so it is not affiliate income and this page does not cover it. What you pay there goes to the printer and to us.
The passages stay free
Everything the tool does is free and always will be. There is no account, no paywall and nothing held back for a paying version.
Asking
If a link ever looks like it might earn us something and does not say so, that is a mistake and we want to know about it. Tell us and we will fix it and say here that we did.
Where this sits
The privacy page covers what happens to what you type, the cookies page covers what is stored in your browser, and the terms cover use of the site.
