# Emotional exhaustion: where to start, and why this passage

Psalm 143:3-4 is the passage for emotional exhaustion. You get the verses in full, the part of the story they sit inside, and a question to sit with. It takes about a minute, and you can have it now.

The words are already there

The psalm says overwhelmed and desolate without softening either one.

Psalm 143 is a prayer written under pursuit and pressure. These two verses describe what it has done to the speaker, and the psalm continues asking rather than concluding.

Read it in full, with the verses on either side, on the [Psalm 143:3-4 page](https://biblenudge.com/context/psalm-143-3-4).

If this is not quite it

Say what is going on in your own words instead.

You do not have to decide which heading you belong under. Type a sentence about what happened and it will find the closest of the thirteen. If nothing sits close, it says so.

The [library](https://biblenudge.com/resources) lists all thirteen with a description of each, because situations get filed under words people would not always guess.

If what you are carrying is heavier than a page can hold, this is not the place for it. Nobody is reading what you type into this site.
