Read the passage

# Revelation 21:4

World English Bible

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.

In the King James Version

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

## What was happening around this

The seated divine speaker addresses John inside the vision of a new heaven and a new earth, after the first things have passed away.
